Where Does Noteshelf Store Notes on Mobile?

Noteshelf notebooks on Android and iOS, plus backups and cloud sync options.

Last updated

Noteshelf keeps notebooks in private app storage with auto backup to Drive, Dropbox or iCloud when enabled. Shelves sync across devices only through those Cloud links.

There is no manual notebook file to copy without root. Moving phones means turning on Cloud backup first, then restoring on the new device. Export PDFs separately for safekeeping.

Where Noteshelf stores this, by platform

Android
/data/data/com.fluidtouch.noteshelf/

Private sandbox (root only). Usable path is Settings > Backup and the Noteshelf folder in Drive or Dropbox. Keep auto backup on before resets.

iOS
On My iPhone/Noteshelf/

Files app exposure for exports and some notebooks; core data stays in the container plus iCloud when enabled. Migrate with iCloud backup and the same Apple ID.

Frequently asked questions

How do I back up Noteshelf notebooks?

Turn on Cloud backup in Settings and run one manual backup, then copy any exported PDFs elsewhere. Restoring means logging into the same Cloud account on the new device before opening notebooks.

Can I read Noteshelf notes on a PC?

Only through exported PDFs or images, not raw notebooks. Private storage is not browsable. Export important shelves before wiping a phone.
