Where Does OrcaSlicer Store Profiles?
OrcaSlicer's config folder per OS, the user presets inside it, and the fastest way to open it.
Last updated
OrcaSlicer keeps machine, filament and process presets in a config folder outside the install directory, so updates never wipe your tuning. A user subfolder inside holds custom presets, including OrcaCloud synced profiles.
Uninstalling leaves the folder behind on purpose. The quickest way to open it on any OS is Help then Show Configuration Folder from inside the app.
Where OrcaSlicer stores this, by platform
%APPDATA%\OrcaSlicer
Custom presets under the user subfolder. Survives reinstalls including Store builds. Delete manually only if you truly want a clean slate.
~/Library/Application Support/OrcaSlicer
Same layout with a user subfolder. Note that uninstalling on Mac may offer to delete this directory, which does erase profiles, so decline unless intended.
~/.config/OrcaSlicer
AppImage and native default. Flatpak uses ~/.var/app/com.orcaslicer.OrcaSlicer/config/OrcaSlicer instead. Open via Help > Show Configuration Folder to skip guessing.
Frequently asked questions
Which folder do I back up to keep my OrcaSlicer tuning?
The whole config folder, or at minimum the user subfolder inside it. That carries custom printer, filament and process presets plus OrcaCloud profile copies.
Where are OrcaSlicer logs when slicing fails?
Beside the profiles in the same config folder. Check there before reinstalling, since reinstalls preserve the folder and the broken preset with it.
