Where Does Pine Player Store Playlists and Settings?
Pine Player Pro folder playlists in the Music folder plus prefs on Mac.
Last updated
Pine Player Pro skips the monolithic library model. Your audio stays in folders where you left it in Finder. Playlists are lightweight files that reference those folders, created by dragging a folder onto My Playlist and naming it.
The playlist folder is the location to back up. Metadata, art analysis results and per song gain or EQ tweaks resolve against those files. Conversions, renames from metadata and remote control pairings write beside the same area. Reinstalls are trivial once the playlist folder survives.
Where Pine Player stores this, by platform
~/Music/PinePlayerPro/My Playlist
Folder playlists created from Finder drops, per the official organizing guide. Lock individual lists against edits from More Options. Back up this folder plus the app prefs, then restore before launching on a new Mac.
Frequently asked questions
how do I back up Pine Player playlists
Copy ~/Music/PinePlayerPro/My Playlist elsewhere with the app closed. Keep the referenced audio folders at the same paths. On the new Mac, restore the folder first, then open Pine Player and let art analysis rerun.
where are Pine Player converted files saved
Wherever you point the converter (WAV, AIFF, FLAC, M4A, OPUS with bit and rate choices). Conversions never overwrite silently. Metadata edits and renames apply to the chosen output copies.
