Where Are Procreate Files Stored?
Procreate keeps live artwork inside the app Gallery on iPad, with manual .procreate exports to Files or iCloud for backup.

Procreate stores every canvas inside the Gallery as a .procreate file in app private storage. There is no automatic folder in Files where finished work appears. Autosave runs while you draw, so closing the cover never loses a stroke.
That privacy cuts both ways. An iPad restore or a deleted app can take the whole Gallery with it. Export important pieces as .procreate files to Files, iCloud Drive, or an external drive. Keep a PNG copy too for viewing outside Procreate.

Live work stays in the Gallery. Use Share > Procreate to export a .procreate file to Files (On My iPad or iCloud Drive). Brush sets live under Files > Procreate Brushes if you enabled that.

How do I back up Procreate artwork to iCloud?
Open the Gallery, tap Select, pick canvases, tap Share, then choose Procreate format and save to iCloud Drive in Files. Repeat for brush sets and palettes. Device iCloud Backup alone is slow to restore.
Where did my Procreate files go after switching iPads?
They stay on the old iPad unless you moved them. Export .procreate files to cloud storage or AirDrop them, then drag them from Files into the new Gallery using Split View. Log in with the Apple ID that owns the app.
