Where Does Seal Save Downloads?

Seal downloads to shared storage, usually Download/Seal. History and prefs stay sandboxed, files do not.

Last updated

Seal downloads into shared storage, which sets it apart from in-app-only downloaders. Finished files land in a normal folder your player and file manager both read. No root, no workarounds.

History is the fragile half. Queues and logs sit sandboxed and clear with the app. Treat finished files as durable and everything else as temporary.

Where Seal stores this, by platform

Android
/storage/emulated/0/Download/Seal

Default download target. Changeable in settings. Finished files here survive reinstalls.

Android
/data/data/com.junkfood02.seal

History, queue, and preferences. Needs root to browse. Finished downloads are not here.

Frequently asked questions

Where are my Seal downloads?

Check the download path in Seal settings, defaulting to the Seal folder in Download. Every file manager sees shared storage without special access.

Seal says downloaded but files are missing?

Re-link or re-pick the folder in settings after Android upgrades. Scoped storage permissions reset on major updates and Seal silently falls back.

Do Seal files survive reinstall?

Yes for finished files. History and queue live sandboxed. Move the finished files out and they survive anything.
