Where Does sevDesk Store Invoices and Receipts?

sevDesk keeps invoices, receipts, and contacts in your sevDesk account cloud. The mobile app captures receipts; exports run as CSV, DATEV, or PDF.

Last updated

sevDesk is cloud bookkeeping with a mobile capture arm. Invoices, contacts, and bank-matched transactions live in the account, editable from the web app. The phone app photographs receipts and checks document status between desks.

No ledger files sit on devices. New phones need only a login; the whole archive follows. The export center bridges to advisors and archives with CSV, PDF, and DATEV formats. Capture receipts at purchase time, since reconstructing December from memory never works for anyone.

Where sevDesk stores this, by platform

Android
sevDesk app > Receipt capture (account cloud)

Live data in-account; phone holds capture cache only. Exact folder names may vary by version. Export CSV, PDF, or DATEV from the web export center for archives.

iOS
sevDesk app > Receipt capture (account cloud)

Same cloud model as Android. Photograph receipts in-app and book them on the web. Reinstalls lose nothing once uploads complete.

Frequently asked questions

How do I capture receipts on the go?

Photograph the receipt in the mobile app right at purchase; it uploads to the inbox for booking later. Paper fades faster than phones, so capture now and categorize weekly. The web app handles the actual accounting entries.

How do I export data for taxes?

Use the export center for CSV, PDF archives, or DATEV handoff to a tax advisor. Run exports before year-end closing and keep the files with your records. The account holds the live data; exports are the frozen copies auditors want.
