Where Are Starfield Photo Mode Photos Stored?
Starfield Photo Mode folder on Windows, the Textures Photos path versus Steam F12 screenshots and Game Bar.
Last updated
Starfield splits photos by capture method. Photo Mode snapshots on PC go to Documents/My Games/Starfield/Data/Textures/Photos, per Bethesda support. Steam F12 shots follow Steam and open through View then Screenshots.
Mixing the two causes most lost photo reports. Check the Photos tree first for scanner pictures. Mod managers can redirect the Data tree into overwrite folders, so confirm the live path if you mod. Game Bar clips use Videos Captures instead. OneDrive moves Documents silently on many setups.
Where Starfield stores this, by platform
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Starfield\Data\Textures\Photos
Photo Mode goes here. Steam F12 uses the screenshot manager. OneDrive can relocate Documents, so check OneDrive/Documents if the tree looks empty.
Frequently asked questions
How do I take a Photo Mode picture?
Open the scanner, enter Photo Mode, frame the shot and confirm. Files land in Documents/My Games/Starfield/Data/Textures/Photos. Steam F12 shots go to the Steam screenshot manager instead.
My photo is not in the Steam folder. Why?
Photo Mode and Steam captures are separate systems. Check the Photos tree for scanner shots and View then Screenshots in Steam for F12 shots. Game Bar clips live under Videos Captures.
