Where Does Surfshark Store Logs and Settings?
Surfshark keeps logs in Roaming Surfshark or ProgramData on Windows, generated through in-app diagnostics. Other platforms use in-app reporting.

Surfshark documents exactly one platform's log layout properly: Windows. Diagnostics generate a zip at the install folder, with Roaming Surfshark and ProgramData Surfshark as the manual fallbacks. That is the whole official story.
Mac and Linux get install verification at best. The Mac app lives in Applications with an in-app bug reporter and no published log path. Linux installs through the official Debian script or Snap with a surfshark-vpn binary, and activity logging stays off by policy. Use the in-app reporter outside Windows.
Where Surfshark stores this, by platform
%APPDATA%\Surfshark
Officially documented log home with files starting in log. Generate through Settings Get Help Troubleshooting tools first, which zips diagnostics at the install folder. ProgramData Surfshark is the fallback when Roaming is empty.
/Applications/Surfshark.app
Install location via App Store or official DMG. No official Mac log or config path is published, so diagnostics run through Settings Get help Report a bug. Do not assume Library paths for this app.
Frequently asked questions
How do I collect Surfshark logs on Windows?
Open Settings, Get Help, Troubleshooting tools, Collect diagnostics in the app. It builds a zip at the install folder. The manual fallback is the Roaming Surfshark folder for log files, or ProgramData Surfshark when Roaming holds nothing.
How do I clean-reinstall Surfshark on Mac?
Reinstall from the official DMG or App Store listing, dragging the old copy from Applications to Trash first. No log path is officially documented on Mac, so use Settings, Get help, Report a bug inside the app instead of hunting Library folders.
Where are my Surfshark activity logs?
By design it keeps none. Surfshark runs a no-logs policy for activity, so the only files on disk are app diagnostics you generate yourself. Connection troubleshooting uses those zips plus the in-app reporter on every platform.
