Where Does TeamSpeak Store Bookmarks and Settings?
The TeamSpeak 3 client keeps bookmarks, identities and options in one settings.db file under your AppData folder.
Last updated
Almost the entire TeamSpeak 3 client state fits in a single SQLite file called settings.db. Bookmarks, identities, hotkeys, and window layout all live there, with logs in a subfolder beside it.
Copying that file to a new machine restores everything at once, which beats re-adding servers by hand. MyTeamSpeak sync covers only items you placed in synchronized bookmarks. Local contacts and histories never leave the file, so the copy still matters.
Where TeamSpeak stores this, by platform
%APPDATA%\TS3Client
The settings.db file is the prize. Logs sit in a logs subfolder. Close the client before copying so the database is not mid-write.
Frequently asked questions
TeamSpeak forgets everything on restart. Why?
The client cannot write settings.db, usually a permissions problem on the TS3Client folder. Grant your account full control of the folder and the forgetting stops.
Do I need myTeamSpeak to keep bookmarks?
No. Unsynced bookmarks live only in settings.db and survive fine without any account. Sync adds cross device copies, not the only copy.
