Where Does TorrServe Store Downloads and Cache?

TorrServe drops finished files in the shared Download folder by default, with its torrent cache and settings in app private storage.

Last updated

TorrServe has two storage layers. Finished files go to shared storage, where any player or file manager opens them. The torrent working state (pieces, resume data, settings) stays in the app private directory.

The download folder is a setting, not a constant. Check inside the app before assuming Download, since boxes and sticks often point it at attached USB storage. Streamed only torrents may leave nothing behind at all except cache, which is the correct behavior rather than a bug.

Where TorrServe stores this, by platform

Android
/storage/emulated/0/Download

Default landing spot for finished files. If the folder is empty after a watch, open TorrServe settings: the path was likely changed to USB storage, or the torrent was streamed without saving.

Frequently asked questions

My TorrServe downloads are not in Download. Where did they go?

Open TorrServe settings and read the storage path shown there. The default is the shared Download folder, but one tap moves it. New downloads follow the setting from that moment on, old ones stay where they landed.

Is it safe to clear TorrServe app data to free space?

Yes, from the app private directory, and clearing it wipes active torrents and resume state. Finished files in Download survive. Clear cache only when stalled torrents need a reset.
