Where Does the Trello Desktop App Store Its Data?
Trello desktop data folders on Windows and macOS, why boards are cloud truth, and when clearing cache helps.

The Trello desktop app follows Electron conventions, keeping session state and cache in the platform userData folder under its own name. Boards, cards and attachments live in Trello cloud; the local folder holds login sessions and a working cache.
There is no Linux desktop client, so Linux users run Trello in a browser and have no equivalent folder. On Windows and Mac, clearing the folder with the app closed fixes most stuck login loops, at the cost of signing in again.
Where Trello stores this, by platform
%appdata%\Trello
Session state and cache in one tree. Deleting it signs you out and forces a clean login, which resolves most auth loops. Boards re-sync untouched from the cloud.
~/Library/Application Support/Trello
Same role as Windows. Use Go to Folder in Finder, and quit Trello fully before clearing or copying anything.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a Trello desktop data folder on Linux?
No. Trello ships desktop apps for Windows and Mac only, so Linux users run it in a browser. Browser profile data then plays the cache role instead.
Will clearing the Trello folder delete my boards?
No. Boards live in Trello cloud and reappear on next login. Only the local session and cache go away, which is exactly why clearing it fixes login and sync glitches.
