Where Does the Amie Desktop App Store Data?
Amie keeps its desktop cache in the platform Electron data folder, while calendars and todos remain in the cloud.

Amie is cloud first: events and todos live server side and the desktop app mirrors them locally for speed. That mirror is the only thing in the Amie folder on your disk, so deleting it is a logout, not data loss.
The folder follows the standard Electron layout on each OS. If a future build renames it, sort the parent directory by modification date after launching Amie and the fresh folder gives itself away.
Where Amie stores this, by platform
~/Library/Application Support/Amie
Cache plus local preferences. Quit Amie fully, since it lingers in the menu bar, before clearing. Everything returns on next sign in.
%APPDATA%\Amie
Same Electron userData role. Close Amie from the system tray first. A bloated Cache subfolder inside is the usual cause of gigabytes of disk use.
Frequently asked questions
is it safe to delete the amie data folder
Yes, once the app is quit. Calendars and todos re-sync from your account on next launch. Only unsynced offline edits could be lost, so let it finish syncing first.
why is amie using so much disk space
The cache mirrors everything you opened, including images and attachments. It never shrinks by itself. Clearing the folder resets it to near zero and it regrows only with what you actually revisit.
