Where Does Xpadder Store Profiles and Controllers?
Where Xpadder keeps Xpadder.ini, controller files and game profiles.
Last updated
Xpadder is portable with everything beside the exe: Xpadder.ini for global paths and defaults, .xpaddercontroller files per gamepad and .xpadderprofile files per game. Recent lists inside the ini point at those files.
Absolute paths are the classic gotcha. Edit the ini with relative equivalents after moving, and enable the always load last profile option for single game setups before scripting shortcuts.
Where Xpadder stores this, by platform
<Xpadder folder>\Xpadder.ini
Portable root with Xpadder.ini, controller files and profiles side by side. Convert absolute paths to relative after moves. Launch with a profile path argument for per-game shortcuts.
Frequently asked questions
How do I move Xpadder to a new PC?
Copy the Xpadder folder as is. Controller images, profiles and the ini travel together, and shortcuts that launch a specific profile keep working when relative paths hold.
My profiles broke after moving the folder. Why?
Open Xpadder.ini and replace absolute entries with relative paths. New controllers record absolute locations by default, which breaks the moment the folder moves drives.
