Where Does Yubo Store Profiles and Media?

Yubo profiles and friends live in the cloud while Snaps, streams, and cache fill app storage and camera roll.

Last updated

Yubo is account based, so friends, profile, and settings follow your login and need no file backup. Local storage holds three things: cached feeds and streams, media you saved, and drafts you never posted.

Snaps and live moments only reach your camera roll if you save them there. Everything else in the app's storage is disposable cache that rebuilds itself. When space runs low, clear cache first and audit the camera roll second.

Where Yubo stores this, by platform

Android
Camera roll (saved Snaps); Settings > Apps > Yubo (cache)

Feeds, stream cache, and drafts sit in app-private storage. Snaps you keep must be saved to the camera roll first. Clear cache in Settings > Apps > Yubo without touching the account.

iOS
Photos app (saved Snaps); in-app cache

Same account-first design. Save keeper Snaps to Photos, then use iPhone Storage > Yubo > Offload App to drop cache while preserving documents and saves.

Frequently asked questions

Do I lose my Yubo profile if I switch phones?

Your profile, friends, and settings return on login. Only unsaved Snaps and cached stream data disappear, which is why the camera roll check matters.

How do I keep a Snap I want to save?

Save it to the camera roll before posting or letting it expire. Anything left only in Yubo's viewer has no copy anywhere else once the app data goes.
