Where Does AION 2 Store Settings on PC?
AION 2 keeps settings, HUD presets and caches in AppData, in differently named folders for Steam and the PURPLE launcher.

AION 2 is an MMO, so characters live on NCSoft's servers and there is no local save file to copy. What does live on your PC is the client's own state: graphics settings in engine.ini, HUD layout presets, and caches, all under %LOCALAPPDATA%\AION2.
The catch is that the folder name changes with the launcher. Steam installs use a Saved_Steam tree; NCSoft's own PURPLE launcher uses a plain Saved tree. Tutorials that quote the wrong one send you to an empty folder, which is common enough that the game's official crash troubleshooting lists both.
Where AION 2 stores this, by platform
%LOCALAPPDATA%\AION2\Saved_Steam\Config\Windows
Steam installs. engine.ini holds renderer tweaks and GameUserSettings.ini holds menu settings. The PersistentDownloadDir sibling folder stores caches and HUD data.
%LOCALAPPDATA%\AION2\Saved\Config\Windows
The PURPLE launcher version of the same folder. Same contents, shorter name, and the reason half the guides on the web point at a path that does not exist on your PC.
%LOCALAPPDATA%\AION2\Saved_Steam\PersistentDownloadDir\UserHUD
Exported HUD layout presets as .dat files, plus a Default.dat. On PURPLE installs the folder sits under Saved\PersistentDownloadDir instead.
Frequently asked questions
Where does AION 2 keep its settings on PC?
%LOCALAPPDATA%\AION2. Steam installs write into Saved_Steam; the PURPLE launcher uses Saved. Settings themselves are in Config\Windows inside whichever folder your launcher created.
Is there an AION 2 save file on PC?
No. Character progress is server-side. The local folder holds settings, HUD presets and caches only, so a reinstall costs you your tweaks, not your characters.
AION 2 crashes with a fatal error. What should I clear?
Close the game, then delete the UserSetting folder under PersistentDownloadDir (Saved_Steam for Steam, Saved for PURPLE) and disable Steam Cloud first if you play on Steam. The client rebuilds it on the next launch.
