Alight Motion stores every project and element locally on your device, outside your account. Signing in does not sync them anywhere. Deleting or reinstalling the app wipes them permanently with no recovery path.
The official backup is the Project Package feature. Export a project to get an Alight link plus QR code, and store both somewhere safe like email or cloud storage. Tapping the link later reimports the project into the app. Treat unexported projects as living on borrowed time.
