Where Does BlackPlayer Store Playlists and Settings?
BlackPlayer reads music from shared storage but keeps playlists and settings in private app data on Android.
Last updated
BlackPlayer plays files from Music and other shared folders. Its own database with play counts, favorites, and playlists sits in private internal storage. File managers cannot copy that database usefully on modern Android.
For migration use the built in tools. EX builds export settings from Backup and Reset. Playlists export as .m3u from the playlist screen. Keep those exports with your music backup. Rescanning rebuilds the library view.

Private app storage (playlists and settings)
Internal database, not browsable without root. Use Settings Backup and Reset to export. Music itself stays in Music or SD folders and can be copied normally.
Frequently asked questions
How do I back up BlackPlayer playlists?
Long press a playlist and choose export to save an .m3u file, or use settings backup on EX. Store those files outside the phone. Import them after reinstall, then rescan the library.
Why did BlackPlayer lose music after an update?
Scoped storage permissions often reset. Grant media access again, check Music folders in library settings, then rebuild. Files rarely vanish. The app just lost sight of the folder.
