iRacing documents its folders better than most sims document their physics. Install creates a Documents folder holding setups per car, telemetry output, replays, screenshots, and control profiles.
Setup folders generate on first drive per car, which confuses newcomers hunting folders that do not exist yet. Each car's directory uses an internal code rather than its showroom name, displayed at the top of the setup loader. Learn that mapping once and downloaded setups slot straight in.

How do I install a downloaded setup?
Drop the .sto file into the matching car folder under setups and it appears under My Setups in the garage. Folder names are internal codes shown at the top of the load screen, not the display names, so check there first.

Copy the whole iRacing Documents folder to the new PC. Setups, replays, telemetry, screenshots, and control configs move together. Account and license data stay server side and sign in fresh.
