nwg-grid lives inside the shared launchers tree. Config, style and a terminal file sit in its subfolder. Two cache files track pins and favorites beside the tree.
Flags toggle pin and favorite modes against those caches. Samples under system share seed new setups. Match the nested path exactly when scripting.

How do I back up nwg-grid?
Copy the nwggrid config folder plus both cache files with the grid closed. Pinned and favorites travel in cache. Restoring means putting all of it back before launch.
Why is there no nwg-grid folder?
The suite nests it under an nwg-launchers folder, not a standalone nwg-grid dir. Samples live under share in the same tree. Old standalone path guides describe the wrong layout.
