Where Does Quaver Store Maps and Data?

Where Quaver keeps maps, skins, replays, and the database inside its Steam install folder on each OS.

Last updated

Quaver stores maps and settings inside its own game folder rather than Documents. Songs, skins, screenshots, and the quaver.db database all sit beside the game binary, which for most players means inside the Steam library.

That makes backups simple and migrations fiddly. Simple because one folder holds almost everything. Fiddly because Steam libraries move across drives. Open the folder from inside the game instead of memorizing a drive letter.

Where Quaver stores this, by platform

Windows
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Quaver\Songs

Maps, skins, and quaver.db beside the game binary. Default Steam path shown; custom libraries differ. Fastest open: Settings, Open Game Folder, or Steam Browse local files.

macOS
~/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Quaver/Songs

Same Songs plus quaver.db layout under the macOS Steam library. Open via Steam Browse local files since the Library folder is hidden.

Linux
~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Quaver/Songs

Same layout under the Linux Steam library. Native and Flatpak Steam installs use different library roots, so prefer Open Game Folder in game.

Frequently asked questions

What is the fastest way to open the Quaver folder?

Use Settings, Open Game Folder in game, or Steam, Manage, Browse local files. That opens the real install with Songs, Skins, and quaver.db. Copying paths from guides often points at the wrong drive.

How do I move maps to a new computer?

Move the Songs folder plus quaver.db together to the matching spot on the new PC, then press F5 in song select if maps do not appear. Moving one without the other gives an empty or stale library.
