Where Does the Sunsama Desktop App Store Data?
The Sunsama desktop app keeps its cache in the standard Electron userData folder, while tasks themselves stay in the cloud.
Last updated
Sunsama's servers hold your tasks and integrations. The desktop app keeps a local cache so the day view opens instantly, and that cache is all the Sunsama folder on your disk contains. Clearing it signs you out and re-syncs, nothing more.
Calendar and task contents are deliberately not duplicated locally beyond the working cache. Sunsama's own privacy notes say third party data is fetched by the client and kept only in session cache. Treat the folder as disposable.
Where Sunsama stores this, by platform
%APPDATA%\Sunsama
Electron userData folder with cache and local settings. Quit Sunsama from the tray before deleting anything. If the folder name differs by build, sort %APPDATA% by date after launching the app.
~/Library/Application Support/Sunsama
Same role as Windows. Use Finder's Go to Folder to jump there. Removing it is the manual version of logging out and back in, useful for stuck sync states.
Frequently asked questions
is it safe to delete the sunsama data folder
Yes, with the app fully quit. Your tasks, calendar links and settings sync back on next login. Anything drafted offline that never synced is the only thing at risk.
where are my sunsama tasks actually stored
On Sunsama's servers and in the third party tools they came from. The desktop folder is a cache, not an archive, so there is no local backup of your plan to rescue.
