Where Does Talkdesk Store Calls and Settings?

Talkdesk contact center recordings and agent settings, cloud account versus local app cache.

Last updated

Talkdesk keeps contact center operations in its cloud account: queues, Studio flows, agent states, recordings and reporting. Desktop and browser clients render that state.

Local storage covers auth and cache. Admins manage retention and roles in the builder. Agents who lose history should confirm queue assignment before reinstalling anything.

Where Talkdesk stores this, by platform

Windows
%APPDATA%\Talkdesk

Account level queues and flows drive everything. Recordings live under retention policy in Explore. Local cache clears without losing team config.

macOS
~/Library/Application Support/Talkdesk

Same cloud model on macOS and browsers. Studio flows version in the account. Export reports from Explore for durable copies.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I find Talkdesk recordings?

Use Talkdesk Explore or the calls table with proper role permissions. Filter by agent, queue and outcome, then export. Retention follows plan settings, not local disk.

How do I move Talkdesk to a new computer?

Sign into the same Talkdesk account on the new machine. Queues, studio flows and ring groups follow the account. Local data only holds session tokens.
