Where Are Viber Messages and Backups Stored?
Viber backs chats to Google Drive or iCloud from mobile, with desktop history in viber.db under app data.

Viber ties backup to your phone. Android backs up to Google Drive, iPhone to iCloud, both from Settings, then Account, then Viber Backup. Desktop apps cannot start a cloud backup. They only mirror what the phone holds.
Desktop history lives in a local SQLite file named viber.db inside a ViberPC folder with your number. On Windows that is AppData Roaming ViberPC. On Linux it is ~/.ViberPC. Quit Viber before copying that file.
Where Viber stores this, by platform
C:\Users\[You]\AppData\Roaming\ViberPC\[Number]\viber.db
Full desktop chat history in SQLite. Encrypted in newer builds. Back it up with Viber closed. Copy back to move history to another PC with the same number.
Google Drive backup (Viber Backup)
Includes texts plus photos if you enable media. Same number and same Google account required to restore. Local database at /data/data/com.viber.voip needs root to read.
Frequently asked questions
